Brentmoor on Smithsonian Tour!
Noted Civil War historian Ed Bearss visited Brentmoor Saturday, December 20th as part of his Mosby tour for the Smithsonian Association. Dave Goetz (Foundation Advising Historian) and Chuck Young (Foundation & Museum Director) provided brief commentary for the 45 participants while Gar Schulin (Special Events Committee Chairman) provided holiday refreshments and was the perfect host. Many thanks to Paula Johnson (Special Events Committee member) for her contributions of holiday decor and assistance in preparing for the event.

Mosby Foundation Hosts New Warrenton-Fauquier-Visitor Center Groundbreaking Ceremony
WARRENTON, VA – The John Singleton Mosby Museum Foundation cordially invites all Members and the public to witness the Groundbreaking Ceremony for the new Warrenton-Fauquier Visitor and Education Center on the grounds of the historic Spilman-Mosby House at 173 Main Street in Warrenton to be held on Saturday, June 21, 2003 at 4:00 PM. Dignitaries will be on hand to perform the Groundbreaking, immediately followed by a special reception and guided tours of the historic house and grounds, site of the future John Singleton Mosby Museum. The Groundbreaking Ceremony and reception at the Spilman-Mosby House will take place “rain or shine.” The reception will be hosted by Friedman, Billings, Ramsey’s (FBR) Private Client Group. All citizens are encouraged to come out and enjoy the festivities while learning more about the Foundation mission, its preservation efforts and our local history.

2002 Blue & Gray Ball
Third Blue and Gray Ball a Stirring Success
WARRENTON, VA – The third edition of the Blue and Gray Ball was held Saturday evening, November 23, 2002 at the Fauquier Springs Country Club to rave reviews by many of the approximately 200 guests present. A beautiful and stirring evening transformed The Springs and transported guests back to the War Between the States period of 19th Century “Old Virginia.” A truly Grand Evening in Warrenton was enjoyed by all.
